Apprenticeships
The KVH Clinic Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program is a one-year paid training program with the majority of the work and learning happening on-site under the guidance of a preceptor. This program provides hands-on clinical experience in an outpatient setting, preparing participants to take the Department of Health Certified Medical Assistant exam and obtain licensure in Washington State.
The program equips apprentices with essential clinical skills, foundational medical knowledge, and practical experience needed to confidently pursue Medical Assistant roles in KVH clinics. Apprentices will gain expertise in patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures while supporting healthcare providers and ensuring quality patient experiences.
The KVH Nursing Assistant-Certified Program is a 6-week paid training program with the majority of the work and learning happening on-site, under the guidance of a preceptor. This position will rotate through all inpatient units at the hospital, including but not limited to; Medical/surgical, critical care, emergency services, family birthing, and surgical outpatient. The program prepares students to qualify for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Examination (NNAAP), in preparation to work as a professional nursing assistant in Washington State.
The program equips participants with the essential clinical skills, hands-on experience, and foundational knowledge needed to confidently pursue Patient Care Technician roles in our inpatient hospital units and Home Health, where they will provide direct patient support and assist with daily care needs.
The Pharmacy Technician Training Program at Kittitas Valley Healthcare is a one-year, hands-on training program designed for individuals pursuing a career as a licensed Pharmacy Technician in Washington State. This program combines on-site clinical experience with self-paced didactic learning under the guidance of experienced preceptors. Participants will gain essential skills in medication preparation, dispensing, inventory management, and patient support while working in a real healthcare setting.
Upon successful completion of the program, trainees are expected to pass the accredited pharmacy technician certification exam and obtain state licensure. This program offers a structured pathway into the pharmacy field, with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on learning in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
