Your primary care physician may refer you to us if you are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Chronic pain related to nerve problems
  • Dizziness and balance problems
  • Numbness or tingling
  • Weakness
  • Movement problems
  • Seizures or loss of consciousness
  • Vision problems
  • Memory problems or confusion
  • Sleep problems
  • Speech or language difficulties
  • Vision problems and double vision

People who are having problems with their senses such as vision, smell, taste or touch, may also be referred to a neurologist, as sensory dysfunction is sometimes caused by disorders of the nervous system.

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease)
  • Brain trauma (and other injuries of the nervous system)

  • Certain problems of eye movement and vision
  • Migraines (and other headache disorders)
  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Spasticity and other movement disorders
  • Spine disorders
  • Stroke
  • Tourette’s Syndrome (and other disorders of involuntary movement)
  • Trigger point injections and nerve blocks for certain types of pain
  • Botulinum toxin therapy for migraine and movement disorders
