We Are Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 1

Situated in the heart of Washington, Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 1 provides care to Kittitas County and surrounding areas. The public hospital district is governed by a five-member elected Board of Commissioners and is almost exclusively supported by revenue generated from patient services. Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 1 does business as Kittitas Valley Healthcare (KVH).

What is a Public Hospital District?

Public Hospital Districts are community-created, governmental entities authorized by state law to deliver health services—including but not limited to acute hospital care—to district residents and others in the districts’ service areas. Owned and governed by local citizens, hospital districts tailor their services to meet the unique needs of their individual communities.

Hear From Our Employees

KVH aligns with my personal and professional values. We put our patients and this community first, and we come to work to do good work. – L.P.

I enjoy interacting with the patients. I also like all my coworkers. I’ve been here 31 years, and proud of it.
P.C.ENVIRONMENTAL SERVIES
There is such a positive attitude. People smile when they see you in the halls, whether they know you or not. The company is transparent.
M.N. OUTPAITIENT CARE
I came to work here because of my care as a patient. I’ve stayed because of the staff and the care we pride ourselves in giving to our patients.
A.B.INPATIENT CARE
It’s important to me to improve the health and well-being of the people in this community. Knowing that I make a difference keeps me here.
R.S.CLINIC MANAGEMENT
Small town, big culture, caring employer- how could it get any better?!
K.H.INFORMATION SYSTEMS
The organization’s vision – and daily dedication to that vision is what brought me to KVH. The work continues to inspire me every day.
M.W.ADMINISTRATION
It’s a 5-minute commute from home. The pay scale, benefits, and retirement package KVH offers as an organization is better than what I received in private practices.
D.W.CLINIC SUPPORT
I work at KVH because it’s a committed place with plenty of growth opportunities. Plus, I work with some pretty darn good people!
