Philosophy of Practice
I treat each patient as I would care for my own family. Taking care of the whole person, not only the surgical issue, is important to me. I believe this makes a difference in the healing process. I educate my patients on all of their options and risks so we can make the best decision for them as an individual.
I also enjoy detailed precision in my work as much as possible. I strive for the most minimally invasive approach in surgery for the quickest healing time, so you can get back to living your life.
I like to excel in life. I continue ongoing learning and improvement in both my hobbies and work. For hobbies I enjoy gardening, skiing, mountain biking, yoga, swimming, and running. I swam at a Division I college and have always enjoyed athletics. I competed nationally in swimming at the US Open from ages 14-20, and as an adult channel my love of performing at a high level into my surgical work.
When I am not at work I am most likely spending time with my husband and our puppy. My life philosophy is one of kindness and savoring time outside in nature.
