KVH Family Medicine – Cle Elum will welcome advanced registered nurse practitioner Zoe Carlson on September 28. Zoe will join a team of two physicians and three advanced practice clinicians.
Zoe and her husband graduated from high school in the Cle Elum-Roslyn area. They are very pleased to be returning to the area, where they still have close family. They also particularly enjoy snowmobiling and hiking in Upper Kittitas County.
Zoe has an extensive background in nursing, and became a nurse practitioner in 2009 after completing a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Washington. She specializes as an adult nurse practitioner, providing primary care services for adult patients. In her most recent position at the Woodland Clinic Family Health Center she focused on patients with internal medicine and cardiovascular needs.
Advanced practice clinician is a term used to describe a healthcare provider who has received advanced certification or licensure and is able to diagnose and treat patients, but is not a physician. At Kittitas Valley Healthcare, advanced practice clinicians are typically physician assistants or nurse practitioners.
