On March 4, Kittitas Valley Healthcare will resume physical therapy services in Cle Elum. The services were discontinued in October 2009, when KVH was one of three physical therapy service providers in the area. Today, the demand for physical therapy providers in the area is high, with only one service provider remaining.
Over the past year, KVH worked with the Department of Health in the planning and approval of the care location, which is within KVH Family Medicine – Cle Elum.
Appointments will be available two days per week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Referrals are required.
“The same services that are available in Ellensburg will now be available in Cle Elum,” according to Ken Kladnik, Director of Rehabilitation Services for KVH. “Physical therapy typically requires multiple appointments over a short period of time, which can lead to a significant amount of transportation time. This will absolutely be a convenience for our patients from Upper Kittitas County.”
The most common uses of KVH Physical Therapy services are for orthopedic injuries, recovering after an orthopedic surgery, and improving balance. A lead physical therapist has been assigned to the Cle Elum location, allowing patients to see the same provider for most of their visits.
KVH Family Medicine – Cle Elum is located at 201 Alpha Way in Cle Elum. To make a physical therapy appointment after receiving a referral from your health care provider, call (509) 674-5331 any weekday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
