Introducing KVH

2/12/2013

We opened the doors to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in 1964.  Nearly fifty years later, we have grown from a hospital to a system of healthcare services including more than ten clinics and specialty services in Ellensburg and Cle Elum.  Today, we announce a new name that better reflects who we have become: Kittitas Valley Healthcare.  KVCH becomes KVH.

In addition to the creation of a new organization name, each of the clinics and specialty services that are part of KVH will also undergo a name change.  Each new name will highlight the facility’s association with KVH and the service offered.

“Our commitment to our patients and their families, at all of our facilities, remains the focus of our organization,” said Paul Nurick, CEO of KVH.  “Patients will notice changes to our name, but not to the care they receive or the healthcare providers they visit.”

KVH clinics provide care in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, women’s health, and urgent care.  Specialty services include home health, home respiratory, hospice, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and diabetic education.

As part of the new brand identity, KVH is also introducing the tagline Your Home for Health.  “We want our patients to feel confident using KVH as a home base for any healthcare journey,” continued Nurick.  “We are proud of the advances that we have made, especially over the past few years.  Our hospital is ranked among the best small hospitals in the nation – in many cases exceeding the quality of much larger facilities – and our clinics are among the best in the state.”

A new website is being launched to coincide with the new brand identity.  The website, www.kvhealthcare.org, has a new look and feel, and features stories of local patients who have received care at KVH.

“It was time for our name to reflect the services that we offer.  We have evolved from a hospital to where we are today: a patient-centered healthcare system,” concluded Nurick.
