Chocolate Brownie Oatmeal

 You can have your cake (or brownies in this case) and eat it too! Tired of the same morning routine? These oats will have you feeling like you're eating dessert for breakfast. The magnesium in the cocoa will help you to relax and get started with your day while the oats will keep you full and energized. Start your morning with chocolate the right way!

Chocolate Brownie Oatmeal

Ingredients:
•1 cup whole grain oats
•2 cups almond or coconut milk
•1 tsp vanilla
•2 tbs unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
•1 tbs chia seeds
•2 tsp honey or maple syrup

•OPTIONAL:
o Chopped nuts
o Unsweetened coconut flakes
o Dark chocolate chunks
o Berries

Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine your oats, cocao powder, chia seeds, vanilla and maple syrup. Add in your milk once the ingredients are well combined and bring the oats to a rolling boil for about 3 minutes with the lid on. Turn down to medium/simmer and let cook until the oats begin to thicken. Take the lid off and continue to cook for about two minutes to let the extra moisture evaporate. Once cooked, feel free to add in the optional toppings and a splash of milk on top if you wish! You can have dessert for breakfast with these delectable oats!
