Lauren Denton became the new Director of The Foundation at Kittitas Valley Healthcare on Monday, March 12.
Denton brings more than eight years of experience working with healthcare fundraising and relationship building to the position. Her passion is focused on improving access to quality and integrated healthcare in order to improve the overall health and lives of individuals and the community as a whole.
Denton has helped raise over $5.6M in programmatic support for small nonprofits focused on dental and mental health to large health systems with initiatives for children, cancer, heart, and senior care. She has also completed over $7.2M in hospital capital expansion projects including equipment, department expansions, and a Breast Center.
Denton holds a Master’s Degree from Colorado State University in Anthropology focused on dental development and the systemic relationship to determine health status of populations. Her most recent experience includes serving as Director of Philanthropy at Virginia Mason Memorial, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. In that capacity, she led an integrated advancement program to maximize philanthropic support across the continuum of care.
“The opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative community focused organization such as KVH is a privilege. I am excited about our future and have optimism about the new relationships we are creating to enhance and expand healthcare in Kittitas County,” said Denton.
The Foundation at KVH was established in 1986 to support the mission of Kittitas Valley Healthcare. It consists of a 19-member volunteer board, dedicated to improving the services offered throughout the healthcare system. Since its inception, through the generosity of our community, The Foundation has donated over $2M to the organization.
Denton invites community members to visit her at her office in KVH Hospital and looks forward to meeting community members at the annual Foundation gala April 28. She can be reached by calling 509-933-8669 or via email at email@example.com.
